GK: Bernd Leno, Fulham

Bernd Leno makes our team of the week for the first time after a match day 3 display that saw him post an 81.1 shot-stopping grade. Through three weeks Leno has made 10 saves, 4th most among goalkeepers this season.

LB: Tyrick Mitchell, Crystal Palace

Tyrick Mitchell recorded the highest grades among fullbacks this week in challenges (85.9) & clearances (87.9). He won the most challenges among all fullbacks with 9, winning every aerial duel he was involved in & every dribble he faced.

CB: Ibrahima Konate, Liverpool

We couldn’t have a team of the week without featuring a defender from the only team to keep a clean sheet this week. Ibrahima Konate gets the nod from the Liverpool backline on the strength of his 86.1 Challenge grade (2nd among CBs, 4th overall). He won 5 of the 7 challenges he was involved in & defended every dribble he faced.

CB: Jan Paul van Hecke, Brighton & Hove Albion

Jan Paul van Hecke was just 1 of 3 Centre Backs to register a passing grade (83.3) and challenge grade (85.2) above 80 this week. He won 9 of the 12 challenges he was involved in.

RB: Rico Lewis, Manchester City

Rico Lewis appears to have taken over as Man City’s first-choice Right Back this season. He registered an assist and three grades of 75+ vs. West Ham, earning himself a spot in his first TOTW.

82.5 Passing Grade

79.1 Challenge Grade

78.1 Tackle Resistance Grade

CM: Ryan Gravenberch, Liverpool

Ryan Gravenberch delivered a masterclass in midfield as Liverpool ruthlessly dismantled Manchester United at Old Trafford. His contribution was immense, highlighted by an impressive 89.1 Challenge Grade—second only to Mario Lemina of Wolves this week. Gravenberch’s presence and dominance in the center of the park were instrumental in Liverpool's victory, underlining his importance in the squad and his growing influence in the Premier League.

CM: Elliot Anderson, Nottingham Forest

Elliot Anderson was pivotal in midfield as Nottingham Forest maintained their unbeaten start to the season. His impact was felt early on when he provided a precise assist from a corner for Chris Wood’s opening goal. Anderson’s all-around performance was outstanding, with his Challenge Grade hitting a high of 82.8—the highest among his peers this week. Remarkably, he was the only player to achieve five separate grades north of 70, highlighting his consistency and influence across various facets of the game.

CAM: Morgan Gibbs-White, Nottingham Forest

Morgan Gibbs-White was in sublime form as he orchestrated Nottingham Forest's attack with precision and flair. His exceptional 90.5 Passing Grade was complemented by an 82.1 Shooting Grade, making him one of only four players to achieve three grades above 80 this week. Gibbs-White’s creativity and clinical finishing were on full display, solidifying his role as a key playmaker for Forest and a constant threat to opposition defenses.

LW: Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace

Eze had another good week as he continued to establish himself as Palace’s star player following Michael Olise’s departure. He received an 85.0 passing grade against Chelsea and an 83.0 shooting grade, capped by a wonderful equalizer from outside the box.

RW: Jack Harrison, Everton

The less said about Saturday’s game against Bournemouth the better for Everton fans, but one positive was the performance of Jack Harrison. He recorded a 91.8 passing grade, moving the ball well, and creating a chance for Seamus Coleman that the Irishman should have put away to further extend their lead. Harrison also had a 72.6 crossing grade and a 80.1 defending dribbles grade, which are important attributes in a Sean Dyche team.

CF: Erling Haaland, Manchester City

Another week, another hat-trick. Even three weeks into the season, it’s hard to see how another striker stops Haaland from becoming the first player to win three consecutive Premier League Golden Boot awards since Thierry Henry did it between 2003 and 2006. This week he received an 89.0 shooting grade to go along with his 81.5 and 81.4 from the previous gameweeks.
